A Walk on the Wild Side
August 16, 2017
AROUND 40 Tadpole Garden Village residents enjoyed an evening of exploration with the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust on Tuesday 15th August.
Residents joined Rosie Sims, of the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, and Community Mobiliser, Chris Tanner, for an hour-long walk into the woodlands adjacent to the village.
There was a guided walk out of the North-West corner of the development, through fields and out into the woodlands. Once there, Rosie explained a little about the work carried out by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and some of the wildlife found in the area.
Amongst those to take part was resident Tasha Smith, who commented: “It was a wonderful evening and great to see such a good turn-out for the event. Living where we do, we are all so lucky to have this on our doorstep. It was great to be shown around and we can’t wait for our next walk to explore the area.”
Community Mobiliser, Chris Tanner, added: “Our thanks to Wiltshire Wildlife Trust for coming along for what was a relaxed and informative event. It was great to see so many people take part, with a real family feel across the ages. As the development continues we will be exploring more opportunities for residents to work with the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, who already have a great partnership with Tadpole Farm CE Primary.” View Pictures of the event here.
The next event will be Meet Your Neighbours at the end of September with further details available on this website soon.
