August 20, 2020

TADPOLE Garden Village residents welcomed the opening of Sainsbury’s Local at an event on Thursday 20th August, after the convenience store became the first retailer to open at the new Local Centre.

Justin Tomlinson MP officially ‘cut the ribbon’ to declare the store open, with local residents gathering to show their support for the opening event.

The new Sainsbury’s offers customers quality food and has provided local jobs, while car parking will also be provided to make shopping for groceries as convenient as possible. There are a further four retail units to be occupied at the Tadpole Local Centre which will benefit both residents and visitors.

Patrick Dunne, Director of Property at Sainsbury’s, said: “This is our first convenience store to open in Swindon and we are very excited to bring a new Sainsbury’s Local to Tadpole Garden Village residents, giving them access to our great value and high-quality products. We are very pleased that we will make shopping for everyday essentials convenient for so many in the area and look forward to opening our doors to customers.”

The new store will be open from 7am to 11pm each day.
