New community play park unveiled

April 18, 2018

AWARD-WINNING Crest Nicholson and managing agents Preim hosted an event for the Tadpole Garden Village community on Easter Saturday to mark the launch of Town Park, a new play area for local residents.

Over 100 Tadpole Garden Village residents came out in full force to enjoy the occasion, attend the official opening ceremony and meet members of the development’s Community Interest Company (CIC) who manage Tadpole Garden Village’s green spaces. The ribbon to Town Park was cut by Jane Leo, Principal of Tadpole Farm Primary Academy, and Andrew Dobson, Managing Director of Crest Nicholson’s Strategic Projects Division.

Younger residents who attended the launch of Town Park had the opportunity to try out the play equipment for the first time and participated in competitions, with prizes awarded for drawing, Easter bonnet design and baking.

The unveiling of Town Park follows last year’s launch of allotments for local residents and school children, as well as the early delivery of Tadpole Garden Village’s school, common and direct bus route into Swindon.

Andrew Dobson, Managing Director of Crest Nicholson’s Strategic Projects division, commented: “Town Park is launching just in time for residents to enjoy the warmer weather, adding to the many community spaces already on offer at the development. We are proud to hand over this super public space to the Tadpole Garden Village Community Interest Company as we continue to build this fantastic community and empower residents to manage their wealth of community assets.”
