Stagecoach Bus Survey Results

August 3, 2017

Many Tadpole Garden Village residents recently took part in an online survey about the no.4 Stagecoach bus service.

Over 50 residents gave their opinions and suggestions about the new bus service, and one lucky resident, Susan from Mackay Crescent, won a month’s free bus travel in Swindon. The results of the survey were shared with Crest Nicholson, Swindon Borough Council, PREIM and Stagecoach West.

Thanking residents for their comments, Rupert Cox, the managing director of Stagecoach West, provided the following feedback;

“The responses to the bus survey have been very informative and will help shape future changes to the bus service. As more homes become completed and the other trip generators become occupied (such as the secondary school) we do plan to increase the frequency of buses to 3 per hour. As demand builds we aim to introduce buses on Sundays, an earlier morning and later evening journey. One interesting suggestion made by a few people was a link to the District Centre at Haydon Wick which is something that we will consider.”

He added: “It was pleasing to hear that most people find the bus reliable and would recommend the service to others. That’s really pleasing as reliability is vital. Since the service has started Stagecoach have introduced a new ‘Bus App’ available for free on Android and iOS. This allows users to plan a journey, check real time bus times and buy day or weekly tickets.”
