Arkells to donate a keg of Noel Ale for TGV residents at the carol singing at the Stray on 18th December

While our Tadpole Garden Village residents will have to wait a little longer to officially raise a glass in the new neighbourhood pub – owners Arkell’s Brewery have organised a seasonal sneak peek of what’s to come!

In an early toast to the Strawberry Thief and to get the village in the Christmas spirit, the Arkells family has donated a keg of Noel Ale for TGV residents to enjoy at the ‘Carol Singing at The Stray’ event on December 18 (organised by Coral van der Kamp).

The pub is due to open next summer, and residents can see it take shape right before their eyes; with tarmac laid, foundations complete and stone and steel works adding structure to the building.  This is Arkell’s Brewery’s latest and biggest pub project in their 178-year history and this fantastic film is definitely worth a look.

The Strawberry Thief will be a destination pub as well as serving the local community.

It will feature open fires, a welcoming bar and a fantastic garden overlooking the village green and cricket pitch.
